Android P is in Public Beta and is available on more than just Pixel and Nexus devices. You can test Android P on selected devices from OnePlus, Nokia, Sony, Vivo, Oppo, and Essential. To see if any of your devices are compatible, visit this site. If you have a compatible device and a reasonably curious techy mind, you can check out that Android P has in its store. You can always revert back to your previous OS if you find it not interesting or too buggy. Here’s how to install Android P.

Install Android P

Downloading Android P is easy thanks to Google’s Android Beta Program. If you have enrolled any of your devices to the programme, you will receive OTA updates. Follow the steps below to install and try out Android P Beta.

Step 1: Open up your browser and go to g.co/androidbeta.

Step 2: Scroll down till you find Eligible devices and then click on Opt-in button.

Step 3: Agree to terms and conditions and then tap on Join Beta.

Step 4: Click on Ok when the confirmation appears.

Step 5: The update may take up to 24 hours to arrive. If you have flashed a custom firmware or are currently using one, you will not receive the update. You can manually check for update from Settings > About Phone > System Updates.

Step 6: After the update arrives, tap on Download and install.

Step 7: You can now try out the new Android P Beta. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Uninstall Android P Beta

Uninstalling Android P Beta is as easy as installing it. Follow the steps below;

Step 1: Go to g.co/androidbeta.

Step 2: Scroll down to Eligible devices and click on Opt-out.

This will erase all your data on the device and roll back to the previous version on Android.
