Microsoft was teasing its users with the plan of adding a feature on Windows 10 that lets you mirror Android’s notifications. It was available on the insider build but finally, they released it for the rest. The insider program is generally for beta testers so the normal users had to wait to get this feature. Now that it is finally here, let’s start using it. Here’s how to mirror Android notifications to Windows 10.

Windows announced this feature via a tweet saying “Notifications have arrived! With the Your Phone app, you can now receive and manage your Android phone’s notifications on your PC. Get Your Phone app from the Microsoft Store here: http://aka.ms/YourPhone.” This was later confirmed by Microsoft’s director of program management for Microsoft Mobile and X-Device Experiences, along with Senior Program Manager Analy Otero Diaz. The initial release date varied according to the region as some bugs were reported and it as stated that everyone should get the update in a few days.

Although there are limitations to what content of the notification is shown but nevertheless it as a useful feature and a much-needed one. You need to install an app by Microsoft called Your Phone Windows 10 to start mirroring the notifications. The process is straight forward and simple. Follow the steps below;

Step 1: Download Microsoft’s Your Phone app.

Step 2: Open Your Phone app on your PC.

Step 3: Click on Get Started to begin the setup procedure.

Step 4: Click on the Link Phone button.

Step 5: Enter your phone number and click on Send. This will send a text message to your phone.

Step 6: Click on Close. Wait till you receive the text from Microsoft.

Step 7: Once you get the text message, click on the link. This will open the Google Play Store.

Step 8: Select Install. This will install the required Microsoft Apps.

Step 9: Open Microsoft Apps and then tap on Get Started. This will begin the pairing procedure.

Step 10: Type in your Microsoft Account credentials. This has to be the same one you’ve used on your PC.

Step 11: Allow permissions on Android.
