How to set up Xbox One turn on TV and audio receiver

  • Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
  • Select Settings.
  • Select All Settings.
  • Select TV & OneGuide.
  • Select Device Control.

  • Under Devices, select TV to let the console detect your TV to control the power options.

  • If Xbox One successfully detected your TV, select Next. If not select Enter it to enter the TV code manually.

  • Go back to Device Control.
  • Select Audio receiver.
  • Select Audio receiver setup to let the console detect your audio receiver to control power and volume.

  • Select your audio receiver brand from the drop-down list.
  • Select Next.

  • Select Send command to let the console find the correct code to detect your audio receiver. If you know the code, select Enter it.

  • Check if the command muted your audio receiver. If it did, then select Yes.
  • Go back to Device Control.

  • For TV, select On when Xbox turns on, and Off when Xbox turn off.
